Connect Close
An operator must first enable MANAGED_MCP_CLOSE_ENABLED. Open Connections →
Close and prefer OAuth. Close supports dynamic client registration, so the
authorization flow requests mcp.read and offline_access without a static
client secret.
The advanced API-key option uses a dedicated Close key and always sends
Close-Scope: mcp.read. Work on Repeat does not offer the safe-write or
destructive Close MCP scopes in this release.
Current beta boundary
Close is connection-only until exact authenticated tool schemas are reviewed. You can verify and save the connection, but discovery produces no runnable tools. This is intentional: a remote name or read-only annotation is not enough to authorize CRM access.
After the reviewed read manifest lands, start with leads, contacts, opportunities, activities, tasks, fields, and pipeline stages. Keep writes, messages, sequence enrollment, merges, and deletes disabled.
Configure the routine
The Weekly CRM pipeline review remains a preview until reviewed tools ship. After that review, choose the template, set the reporting window, attach the Close connection, and prove one manual run before scheduling it. The routine's instructions follow the RevOps pattern: measure movement, flag operational gaps, cite records, separate facts from recommendations, and assign the next human action without editing the CRM.
Close permissions follow the user and organization tied to the OAuth grant or
API key. If a token is revoked or refresh fails, the connection moves to
reauthorization_required; reconnect or replace the key to update the saved
connection in place.
Close's hosted MCP server and API do not add a Work on Repeat charge, but the user needs an eligible Close account and access to the selected organization. See Close MCP documentation for provider availability and scope details.
