The Weekly search visibility review template turns Semrush research and project data into a compact SEO brief: meaningful visibility movement, important keyword changes, competitor shifts, backlink findings, and site health priorities.
Connect Semrush
An operator must first enable MANAGED_MCP_SEMRUSH_ENABLED. Open Connections
→ Semrush and prefer OAuth. The hosted MCP server handles authorization
without static Semrush client credentials in Work on Repeat.
The advanced API-key option sends a dedicated Semrush API key with the
provider's required Authorization: Apikey … scheme. Use a separate key for
Work on Repeat so usage and revocation stay attributable.
Current beta boundary
Semrush is connection-only until exact authenticated tool schemas are reviewed. You can verify and save the connection, but discovery produces no runnable tools. Although Semrush documents its MCP APIs as read-only, Work on Repeat still requires exact checked-in schemas before a remote tool can execute.
The planned first surface covers domain overview, organic and keyword research, competitors, backlinks, position tracking, and site audit. Broader report execution remains blocked until its schemas and API-unit behavior are reviewed.
Configure the routine
The Weekly search visibility review remains a preview until reviewed tools ship. After that review, choose the template, enter the canonical domain and regional database, attach the Semrush connection, and prove one manual run before scheduling it. Compare against a prior period, separate material movement from normal volatility, cite the underlying report, and end with only the technical or content actions supported by the evidence.
Semrush MCP calls consume the API units associated with the connected account. Report construction can require multiple API calls, so start with the narrowest useful domain, database, and reporting window. If OAuth is revoked or an API key is rotated, reconnect or replace the key to update the saved connection in place.
